10th Anniversary Kigamboni Community Center (KCC) in Dar es Salaam Tanzania

Since 2007, The Kigamboni Community Center (KCC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has been addressing local poverty and health issues by providing quality education to underprivileged children, offering a second chance to those without access to public education.
This year 2017 it’s KCC’s 10 years anniversary. So KCC had its anniversary celebrations from 1-5 of August 2017.

20th European Conference on Literacy History European Associations IDEC

Election Bernadette Dwyer as the new Vice President of the ILA

From a international, European, perspective we are very happy for the election of Bernadette Dwyer from Ireland as the new Vice President of the ILA.
I, a long standing IDEC member, have not discussed this yet with the other IDEC members and so write this as a private person, but I’m sure I’m not the only one, who feels this way.

Onderwijsproject Verborgen Familieverleden nu ook op televisie: leerling ontdekt zijn verleden

De schrijvende pers was al geïnteresseerd in het onderwijsproject Verborgen Familieverleden van Ferdi Schrooten en mij. Het project is gericht op schrijfvaardigheid, onderzoeksvaardigheden, onlinegeletterdheid, maar ook op het onderwijsdoel persoonlijkheidsontwikkeling.

Facebook-groep Onlinegeletterdheid van start

Onlinegeletterdheid/ Digitale geletterdheid krijgt de laatste tijd wel de aandacht die zo nodig is. Maar het is nog vooral praten, rapporten schrijven en websites maken. Daar doe ik trouwens ook aan mee. En de verwarring is groot.
