UNESCO is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the 2018 International Literacy Prizes. Each year the UNESCO Prizes are organized around a specific theme. Since the 90ths of the 20th century I am  an active member of the International Reading Association I am also the representative of the Netherlands in the International Development in Europe Committee (IDEC), in which over 30 European countries collaborate on literacy in Europe.
