HSN Conferentie 2017: een terugblik

De 31ste HSN Conferentie Onderwijs Nederlands was een groot succes. Er waren meer dan 500 deelnemers tijdens de twee dagen. Windesheim had alles geweldig georganiseerd, ruimtes, verzorging en ondersteuning. Hiervoor hulde.
Omdat ik het wel belangrijk vind veel te delen zal ik proberen hier zoveel mogelijk presentaties uit de stroom Innovatie en Digitale geletterdheid, waar ik stroomleider en zaalvoorzitter was, te delen.

Hier vind je het programma van vrijdag en zaterdag, zodat je nog even kan kijken waar je heen bent geweest of waar je niet bent geweest. De mooie conferentiebundel werd aan het begin al uitgereikt en zal later (maar de Taalunie is wat traag hierin) ook te downloaden zijn.… Read the rest

Pionier Digitale geletterdheid in het Handboek van Kennisnet

Het Handboek Digitale geletterdheid is op 24 november uitgekomen. Een mooie prestatie van Remco Pijpers en van Kennisnet. Er is geen gedrukte versie (spreekt dit boekdelen?), de digitale versie hier downloaden.
Ik ben trots dat ik genoemd wordt als een Pionier Digitale geletterdheid in hoofdstuk 8 met een mooi interview. En elders in het boek mag ik mijn zegje ook nog doen. De andere twee pioniers zijn Nadia Demaret (schoolleider) over digitale geletterdheid op de vrije school, en de welbekende Patrick Koning (docent mbo) over digitale geletterdheid op het vmbo.

HSN Conferentie Onderwijs Nederlands Programma online

Inmiddels is het programma voor de 31ste HSN Conferentie Onderwijs Nederlands (24 en 25 november 2017 in Zwolle) op de website geplaatst. Ga voor de meest recente informatie naar de website van de HSN. Zie het mooie programma en bedenk welke workshops je wil bezoeken. Het worden twee leerzame dagen. Een must voor de professionele docent, die het onderwijs Nederlands nog beter wil maken. Kom naar Zwolle.
Bedankt, alle collega’s die zich al hebben ingeschreven. Er zijn nog een paar plaatsen open, je kan je nog inschrijven.

Anne Godenir RIP

Ton souvenir est comme un livre bien aimé qu’on lit sans cesse et qui jamais n’est refermé
( Your memory is like a well-loved book that one reads incessantly and never closes)

On August 12, 2017 Anne Godenir, died (1964-2017).
We know her as a person who worked very hard to improve adult literacy in the French speaking part of Belgium.
Anne was a good friend, member of IDEC and FELA and the president of theABLF Association belge pour le lecture – section francophone.
On behalf of IDEC & Fela Jeroen Clemens (Netherlands) and Ariana – Stanca Văcăreţu (Romania) attended the funeral and paid respect to the family.… Read the rest

10th Anniversary Kigamboni Community Center (KCC) in Dar es Salaam Tanzania

Since 2007, The Kigamboni Community Center (KCC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has been addressing local poverty and health issues by providing quality education to underprivileged children, offering a second chance to those without access to public education.
This year 2017 it’s KCC’s 10 years anniversary. So KCC had its anniversary celebrations from 1-5 of August 2017.

I participated in this event, accompanying Yvonne Welzen, coordinator of one of the sponsors, Wings of Support, I am very glad I was there, KCC does a very good job and organized a great anniversary. Thank you, KCC.

UNESCO Global Alliance for Literacy within the Framework of Lifelong Learning (GAL)

As mentioned in an earlier post on 7 September the Core Group of the Global Alliance for Literacy within the Framework of Lifelong Learning (GAL) will hold a one-day meeting. I will participate in this meeting as an observer.
For those of you who are not familiar with the GAL some information.

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, one of UNESCO’s specialist institutions with a core mandate for literacy and lifelong learning, has been asked by UNESCO to lead the consultation process for establishing the Global Alliance for Literacy within the Framework of Lifelong Learning (GAL). As literacy will play a direct or indirect role in achieving many of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), GAL aims to help Member States make accelerated progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.… Read the rest

On September, 8 the UNESCO International Conference on ‘Literacy in a digital world’ takes place at the UNESCO headquarters, Paris, France.
I’m honored to be invited to attent this conference, as a representative of Elinet and as an expert on digital literacy.

Objectives of the International Conference

Definition: To deepen our understanding of what kinds of literacy skills people need to thrive in a digital world.
Practice: To share and analyze promising programmes that advance literacy in a digital world.
Risks and responses: To better understand the emergent risks – such as inequality, privacy concerns and threats to diversity – and develop associated responses in promoting literacyin a digital world.

Elinet New Association & Thematic Working Group Digital Literacy

Elinet, de European Literacy Policy Network, heeft op de 20th European Literacy Conference, besloten te veranderen van een instituut waarvan alleen ‘legal bodies’ lid waren in een Elinet Association, waar individuele experts de belangrijkste leden zijn.
Ik ben gevraagd lid te worden van de Thematic Working Group (TWG) Digital Literacy. ” Full members are individuals working in the area of literacy. They have a vote at the annual General Assembly (GA) and are eligible for the (EC). Bekijk hier de doelen en plannen.
