Verborgen Familieverleden op TV 20 november

Het project Verborgen Familieverleden is succesvol. Voor eerdere blogs hierover zie hier. Een algemene beschrijving van het project vind je hier. De laatste uitvoering van het project te Valkenswaard is met ruim 50 leerlingen afgerond. Veel leerlingen hebben middels research prachtige verhalen over hun overleden bloedverwanten opgediept en hiermee heel mooie vertellingen gemaakt. Voor de KRO/ NRCV is hierover een fraaie documentaire gemaakt door Olaf Koelewijn, regisseur/ documentairemaker. De KRO/NCRV zendt op dinsdag 20 november om 16:45 uur op NPO2 de documentaire ‘Dode Bloedverwanten’ uit in het programma ‘Roderick zoek licht’. Afscheid en nieuwe mogelijkheden

Op 5 september 2018 ben ik gestopt als leraar Nederlands. Op mijn laatste school, Helen Parkhurst, heb ik dan 15 jaar gewerkt. Het afscheid van de leerlingen is het moeilijkst. Maar het geeft weer nieuwe mogelijkheden en ruimte. Ik heb meer tijd voor andere privé- en professionele activiteiten en kan mijn agenda geheel zelf bepalen. Die professionele activiteiten blijven vooral gekoppeld aan digitale geletterdheid en taalonderwijs. Ik ga door met mijn project Verborgen Familieverleden, blijf scholen, teams en leraren ondersteunen en ga meer onderzoek doen op dit gebied. Ook zijn er al verzoeken voor gastcolleges. Ik werken binnen nationale en internationale netwerken, waar ik lid van ben (of zoals bij Elinet, in een bestuursfunctie, Chairperson Digital Literacy).… Read the rest

UNESCO is pleased to invite you to submit applications and nominations for the 2018 UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa ICT in Education Prize.

Created in 2005, the Prize rewards individuals and organizations who are promoting innovations in leveraging ICT for achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on education.

This year’s theme is: ‘‘The use of innovative Information and Communication Technologies to ensure education for vulnerable groups”. The winning projects should particularly focus on out-of-school children, non-literate or under-skilled youth or adults suffering from various barriers, personal disabilities, gender inequalities or crisis-affected situations. Conferentie Digitale Geletterdheid, 22 juni 2018

Vandaag, 22 juni 2018, was de conferentie Digitale Geletterdheid, georganiseerd door Kennisnet in samenwerking met Mediawijzer.net en Beeld en Geluid in het gebouw van Beeld en geluid in Hilversum.
Het was een interessant programma. Er was ook een grote delegatie van de ontwikkelgroep Digitale geletterdheid van curriculum.nu die inspiratie opdeed en vragen stelde.
Ik heb ook een presentatie gehouden, waarbij ik aansloot op de presentatie van Frank Huysmans. Je kan de presentatie bekijken en downloaden op mijn slidesharepagina. Ik was gevraagd vooral in te gaan op de vraag hoe je in de praktijk nu aandacht kan besteden aan digitale geletterdheid.… Read the rest

To register for the conference please visit the symposium page on the Elinet website. Here you can download the registration form and send it to gross-projects[at]web.de until July 12th 2018.

There will be no conference fees. Participants will only have to cover travel and accommodation costs by themselves. We hope to see you all.

In mei 2018 is mijn artikel verschenen Digitale geletterdheid en taalvaardigheid. De leraren Nederlands aan zet in In Levende Talen Magazine nr. 4. Ik publiceer hier een voorproefje met delen uit het artikel. Een appetizer, dus.

(…) De laatste tijd staat digitale geletterdheid sterk in de belangstelling. Maar het is een heel brede term, die soms verwarring geeft. Digitale geletterdheid is ook gewoon een uitbreiding van geletterdheid, kunnen lezen en schrijven, maar dan online. Hiervoor is traditioneel taalonderwijs niet voldoende. UNESCO is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the 2018 International Literacy Prizes. Each year the UNESCO Prizes are organized around a specific theme. This year’s theme is: Literacy and Skills Development.
